Treatments of Candida- Opt For Oral, Topical & Herbal Treatments

Candida

Candida is a bacteria that grows naturally in the gut and is actually good for our health if kept under control. But if it increases in its population, it changes into a fungal form that leads to increasing illnesses, ailments and weight issues as the yeast infection spreads into the body. It is a yeast living in our intestinal tract and candida under control is used as food by the friendly and protective bacteria in our body called Acidophillus and Bifidus. When these friendly bacteria are killed, the yeast begins to multiply in number and thus grow out of number spreading throughout the intestinal tract. This further causes bloating, gas, food reactions, and allergies, constipation, diarrhea, and a host of digestive complaints.

Before we learn about the causes and treatments, we must know more about Candida. It exists either as a round yeast cell or as a fungus with lean outgrowths called hyphae that have the capability to enter into the body tissue of the host. In healthy individuals, it remains in the form of yeast as it is kept under control by friendly bacteria and a strong immune response. If the friendly bacteria is interrupted, then it can increase its numbers radically, change into a fungus form and causes health problems.

For a healthy life, we need to keep in check the good bacteria in our body and eliminating the bad bacteria. To keep Candida under control, we must have a strong immune system so that it can fight against the bad bacteria. There are a number of treatments of Candida recommended by the doctors and medical professionals. However, its treatment is dependent upon the location of your yeast infection. You can opt for oral treatment (medicines), topical treatment (creams, suppositories, mouth washes etc) or herbal treatments (herbs containing anti-fungal properties used as medicines or pastes) to get rid of the infection.
